Salwa Water Treatment Plant

Kom Ombo Center - Aswan Governorate

Water treatment plant construction under the Presidential Initiative (Decent Life) and the National Project for the Development of Egyptian Rural Villages.

Owner: Holding Company for Water and Wastewater - Aswan Water and Wastewater Company

Plant capacity: 15,000 m3/day in the first phase, with a future capacity of 25,000 m3/day

Estimated completion cost: EGP 340 million
Execution period: 10 months, starting 18/10/2021
Contractual completion: 17/08/2022
Approved completion: 15/04/2023
Time-extension status: An additional two months was approved in accordance with a Cabinet decision, followed by another six-month extension in accordance with a Cabinet decision.
